The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown dips to his left and cracks Watanabe with an uppercut!
Brown works Watanabe's body with a nice hook.
Watanabe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Watanabe shoots in but no luck this time.

Watanabe is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brown's half guard.
Watanabe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brown's head.

Brown is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Watanabe pulls his head out easily.

Watanabe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brown is trying to get back to full guard.
Watanabe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Watanabe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Watanabe lands a nice short elbow.

Watanabe lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Brown quite badly. Brown pulls Watanabe in close trying to recover. Watanabe postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Brown on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Brown doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
