Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erno Bajza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Makisig Tolentino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tolentino has chosen Dance with the Devil as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Makisig Tolentino! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tolentino misses with a leg kick and Bajza counters with a takedown into side control. Bajza fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bajza controls the position. Bajza has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tolentino! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bajza controlling from mount. Bajza unloading with bombs! Bajza lands a nice shot to the head. Tolentino is looking to get to half guard. Bajza controlling the position easily from mount. Bajza landing strikes from the mount and Tolentino is in trouble!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tolentino fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bajza checks it well. Bajza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tolentino. Erno Bajza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bajza swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Bajza counters with a stiff right hand. Bajza shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tolentino but Tolentino pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bajza looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bajza controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Tolentino trying to keep a closed guard but Bajza is proving a slippery customer.
Erno Bajza overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bajza trying to control the position from guard on top but Tolentino is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bajza working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tolentino's head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tolentino can do anything to dispel that myth. Bajza wants to control from the top but Tolentino keeps moving. Bajza loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bajza lands a couple of elbows. Bajza in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bajza is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bajza loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bajza is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bajza throws a lazy uppercut
and Tolentino counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bajza looks to score with a jab to the body but Tolentino is just out of range. Bajza digs a good body shot into Tolentino's ribs. Bajza misses with a looping right.

Makisig Tolentino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bajza throws a solid leg kick but Tolentino takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bajza. Bajza fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Tolentino checks it well. Bajza walks into a jab. Bajza avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bajza is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tolentino can do to turn this around? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bajza scoring with some ground and pound.
