The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobby Jr connects with a leg kick. Bezrukov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bezrukov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bezrukov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bobby Jr moves away.
Bezrukov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bobby Jr manages to avoid it.
Ricky Bobby Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bezrukov walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bobby Jr.
Bobby Jr lands with a thumping leg kick.

Bobby Jr moves into the clinch.
I was talking to Bobby Jr's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Bobby Jr stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Bobby Jr lands a hook that snaps the head of Bezrukov backwards.
Bezrukov's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Bezrukov is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bobby Jr creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bobby Jr drops Bezrukov onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Bezrukov is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Bobby Jr dips a shoulder and cracks Bezrukov with a mighty uppercut! Bezrukov falls back against the cage and Bobby Jr unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bezrukov is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Bobby Jr screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
