Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Boy Cojuangco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milton Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Boy Cojuangco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Milton Cooper! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cojuangco shoots in and drives through. Cooper sprawls well. Cojuangco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cooper is in close to Cojuangco's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cooper looking to pass the guard. Cojuangco has his foot on Cooper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cooper works his way back into a safe position though. Cojuangco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cooper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cooper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cooper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cojuangco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cooper has managed to get both his arms back between Cojuangco's legs - danger averted. Cooper wants to get up but he can't break Cojuangco's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cooper trying to control but Cojuangco is working from the bottom. Cojuangco isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cooper stacks Cojuangco on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cooper! Cojuangco takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We've been hearing good reports from Cojuangco's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Cooper gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cooper scores with an uppercut up the middle. Cooper taking a breather. Cooper manages to break the clinch.
Cooper lands the left hand.
Cojuangco is rocked! Cojuangco tries to clinch but Cooper moves out of range. Oh Cojuangco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cooper closes the distance looking for a takedown. Cojuangco stuffs it but Cooper still has hold of him. Cooper picks Cojuangco up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Cooper slams Cojuangco to the floor and that's really hurt Cojuangco - he doesn't know where he is! Cooper throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Milton Cooper! After winning the bout, Milton Cooper thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
