Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Poraaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Pertti Poraaja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Harrison!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison looks for a takedown but Poraaja sprawls well.
Poraaja lands a nice leg kick that just misses Harrison's sensitive parts.
Poraaja motions for Harrison to come forward. Poraaja throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
No joy there for Poraaja, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Poraaja.
Harrison has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harrison avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Harrison lands a nice looking kick to the body. Poraaja takes a step back to recover.

Poraaja lands with a kick to the temple. Harrison shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Poraaja crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Harrison - the referee stops the clock and Poraaja gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Harrison. Poraaja manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Harrison tries to clinch but Poraaja is having none of it.
Harrison looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Poraaja is fending him off so far but Harrison persists. Nope, Poraaja circles away and we're back to standing.

and Harrison counters with an outside leg kick.

and Harrison counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Poraaja is looking to stand up but Harrison isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Harrison dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Poraaja throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Harrison takes a kick to the side of the head.
Poraaja does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Harrison is trying to control the position but Poraaja postures up.
Poraaja has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Harrison works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Poraaja knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harrison on the ground.

Harrison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poraaja keeps working.

Dave Harrison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Poraaja takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Harrison is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Poraaja thows a leg kick but Harrison checks it
and Harrison counters with a good, hard body kick but Poraaja shrugs it off.

Harrison lets loose with a powerful body kick. Poraaja will feel that in the morning.

Harrison closes the distance and clinches up with Poraaja, looking for a takedown. Harrison pushes Poraaja against the cage but Poraaja circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Harrison counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Dave Harrison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Harrison has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
