Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Miyazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bato Dela Rosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Miyazaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bato Dela Rosa! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dela Rosa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miyazaki to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dela Rosa has a closed guard, preventing Miyazaki from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dela Rosa has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miyazaki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyazaki stands and steps away. Dela Rosa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A head kick by Miyazaki misses enabling Dela Rosa to counter with a crisp jab. Miyazaki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dela Rosa. Dela Rosa moves in looking to clinch but Miyazaki pushes him off. Miyazaki moves into range and clinches up with Dela Rosa. Miyazaki wants the takedown. Dela Rosa is fighting it off but Miyazaki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dela Rosa's guard against the cage. Miyazaki wants to control from the top but Dela Rosa keeps moving. Dela Rosa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miyazaki is one step ahead there. Dela Rosa keeping moving, preventing Miyazaki from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Miyazaki's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Miyazaki wants to control from the top but Dela Rosa keeps moving. Dela Rosa throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dela Rosa controls Miyazaki momentarily but Miyazaki frees himself. Miyazaki trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dela Rosa's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Miyazaki blocks a head kick by Dela Rosa.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miyazaki throws a head kick but Dela Rosa moves out of range.
Miyazaki clinches up against the cage. Dela Rosa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Miyazaki manages to break the clinch.
Dela Rosa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Miyazaki closes the distance and pushes Dela Rosa back into the cage. Dela Rosa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miyazaki just stands there and leans against the cage. Tony Miyazaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bato Dela Rosa. Miyazaki turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Miyazaki manages to end up in side control. Miyazaki is looking to take a break and control but Dela Rosa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Miyazaki tries to move to full mount but Dela Rosa actually manages to regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dela Rosa is looking to control Miyazaki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dela Rosa avoid being mounted? Dela Rosa is positioning himself well to prevent Miyazaki advancing to mount. Dela Rosa wants to get back to his feet.
Miyazaki looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Miyazaki stops Dela Rosa from getting back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miyazaki looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Miyazaki looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dela Rosa! Dela Rosa explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dela Rosa has his takedown stuffed and Miyazaki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Miyazaki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dela Rosa looking for a sweep. Not yet Dela Rosa, not yet. Miyazaki wanted to stand there but Dela Rosa had control of the position. Dela Rosa wants to sweep here but Miyazaki controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tony Miyazaki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miyazaki keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dela Rosa's head. Miyazaki wants to stand but Dela Rosa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dela Rosa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Miyazaki swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Miyazaki shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Dela Rosa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miyazaki is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Miyazaki is trying to control the action in half guard but Dela Rosa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dela Rosa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miyazaki is working away from the top position though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Tony Miyazaki dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Dela Rosa with a lazy takedown attempt and Miyazaki counters with a shoot takedown. Dela Rosa fights it but they end up in guard. Dela Rosa has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Miyazaki has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Miyazaki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miyazaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dela Rosa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Miyazaki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dela Rosa keeps working. Dela Rosa gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Miyazaki working over Dela Rosa with some ground and pound. Dela Rosa looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Dela Rosa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dela Rosa managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dela Rosa striking off his back but it's not causing Miyazaki any problems. Miyazaki trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Dela Rosa manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Miyazaki can't keep his opponent in guard - Dela Rosa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Dela Rosa moves into full mount! Miyazaki won't be happy about that! Miyazaki sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dela Rosa is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Miyazaki works his way to full guard. Good work. Dela Rosa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dela Rosa looking to pass the guard. Dela Rosa trying to control but Miyazaki is working from the bottom.

Miyazaki looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Miyazaki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dela Rosa trying to control the position from guard on top but Miyazaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dela Rosa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Miyazaki haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Dela Rosa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nice sprawl there from Miyazaki as Dela Rosa shoots in. Miyazaki scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dela Rosa is being controlled here. Miyazaki tries to advance to mount but can't. Miyazaki wants to control but Dela Rosa is keeping him busy. An elbow from Miyazaki crashes against the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dela Rosa tries to buck Miyazaki off but Miyazaki is having none of it. Bato Dela Rosa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tony Miyazaki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dela Rosa manages to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Bato Dela Rosa. Well Miyazaki has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
