Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dame Rooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rooker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Moment kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dame Rooker is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Kennedy ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dame Rooker! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rooker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kennedy at a distance.
Kennedy slips under a jab from Rooker. We've been hearing reports that Kennedy has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Nice body punch from Rooker. Rooker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kennedy is breathing heavily. Rooker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kennedy . Rooker stalks Kennedy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kennedy 's face. Kennedy staggers backwards, shaken. Rooker gets tackled into the cage by Kennedy . Kennedy maintains the clinch. Rooker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rooker throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dame Rooker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rooker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rooker catches Kennedy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Nice uppercut there from Rooker. Rooker scores with a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rooker lands a body shot.
Dame Rooker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice shot lands for Rooker. Rooker lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rooker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kennedy on the side of the head. Rooker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kennedy . Kennedy is looking for a counter combo. Kennedy clinches up with Rooker and pushes him back against the cage. Rooker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rooker throws a hook but Kennedy avoids it easily. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rooker!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kennedy ducks under a wild hook from Rooker. Kennedy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rooker wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kennedy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rooker thuds his right hand into Kennedy 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rooker closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kennedy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kennedy walks into a left hand. Rooker misses with a two punch combination.
Kennedy instigates a clinch. Rooker working hard to break the clinch. Rooker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Rooker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rooker lands a two punch combo.
Rooker lands with a nice body punch. Rooker jabs Kennedy right on the nose. Kennedy blinks but takes it well. Kennedy dives in for a single leg takedown but Rooker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jab by Rooker. Kennedy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Kennedy . That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rooker lands with an uppercut that bounces Kennedy off the cage and back into range. Rooker tries to bum rush Kennedy with a series of wild strikes but Kennedy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice jab there from Rooker. Rooker lands with an overhand left. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rooker!
Kennedy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rooker's waist but Rooker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kennedy off to one side. Rooker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Rooker bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Rooker connects with the punch. We've been informed that Rooker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Rooker lands with a cross. Rooker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kennedy 's hands.
Kennedy is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice shot lands for Rooker. Oh Kennedy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kennedy is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rooker. Rooker scores with a punch to the head. Good shot there by Rooker. Rooker scores with a jab to the jaw. Kennedy gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Rooker gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kennedy is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dame Rooker! Dame Rooker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
