Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakub Lubanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry comes to the cage accompanied by knuck if you buck . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Henry !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jakub Lubanski!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lubanski paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lubanski tries to keep at a distance but Henry has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lubanski takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Jakub Lubanski has been cut.
Henry can't find room to land a body shot as Lubanski controls the action.
Henry pushes off an throws an elbow but Lubanski leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Lubanski wants to break free but Henry has control.
Henry tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

A head punch on the inside from Henry fails to land.

Lubanski decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lubanski is trying to keep Henry in close.

Henry 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Henry is stalling here. Lubanski is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Henry seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lubanski has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Henry tries to buck Lubanski off but Lubanski is having none of it.

Lubanski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lubanski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Henry is looking for a sweep. Lubanski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Henry is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at St Petersburg MMA Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Lubanski wants to free his trapped foot but Henry is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Henry sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Henry will probably get the nod.

Henry is looking to clinch but Lubanski is avoiding it.
Lubanski swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Henry looks to clinch

Lubanski has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Henry is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Henry clinches up with Lubanski and pushes him back against the cage.

Henry has Lubanski pressed against the cage, preventing Lubanski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Henry drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lubanski pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lubanski lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Henry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lubanski avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lubanski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Henry moves in looking to clinch but Lubanski pushes him off.

Lubanski is trying to force a seperation but Henry has the dominant position.

Lubanski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Henry can't fight it off and eventually Lubanski manages to take the fight to the floor. Henry looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lubanski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Henry swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jakub Lubanski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Henry has managed to clinch.
Henry is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lubanski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lubanski takes an elbow to the temple.
Henry tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Henry using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lubanski has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Henry is trying to control Lubanski's posture but Lubanski avoids it.
Lubanski advances to mount.
Lubanski moves to the back.
Henry tries to roll but Lubanski sticks to his back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Henry rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lubanski is looking for a kimura but Henry is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lubanski to get the leverage.

Lubanski works his foot free and advances to mount.
Henry wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Henry trying to control the action but Lubanski just sinks the hooks in.

Lubanski is persistently looking for the submission but Henry is defending it well.
Henry turns into Lubanski and is now in his guard.
Lubanski pulls Henry in to control the position.
Lubanski wants to sweep but no luck.
Henry is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Henry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Henry is keen to just control but Lubanski is a slippery customer.

Henry is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Lubanski reverses the position - he's now on top in Henry 's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I think Lubanski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
