Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Because I Can (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritz Wolfcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Because I Can could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fritz Wolfcock's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Fritz Wolfcock!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
I Can fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wolfcock has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as I Can is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Wolfcock just misses with a punch to the body.
Wolfcock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from I Can.
I Can doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
I Can jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Because I Can seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
I Can misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wolfcock thumps I Can with a low kick.
A combination from I Can does no damage.
Wolfcock swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A slow jab from I Can misses its intended target.
Wolfcock lands a glancing blow to the side of I Can's head.
I Can jabbing away but nothing is landing.
I Can needs to keep his hands up - Wolfcock had a free shot at his head there.
I Can misses with a two punch combination.
A little jabbing left from Wolfcock on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
I Can listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
I Can throws a hook but Wolfcock avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolfcock moves away from the strike by I Can.
I Can throws a body punch but Wolfcock moves out of range.
A combination from I Can does no damage.
Wolfcock staying out of range there.
I Can misses with a lunging right hand
and Wolfcock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
I Can lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A solid leg kick lands there for Wolfcock.
I Can ducks under a wild hook from Wolfcock.
Wolfcock dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wolfcock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wolfcock wants it to stay on the feet.
Wolfcock lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but I Can circles away quickly and effectively.
I Can misses the jab.
I Can is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Wolfcock's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Wolfcock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but I Can moves away.
I Can went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Wolfcock defending well as I Can loads up on a big left hand.
I Can fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wolfcock avoids it really well and circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I Can swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wolfcock.
I Can moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

I Can takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wolfcock is still on wobbly legs! Can I Can finish him?
Wolfcock scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Wolfcock seems to have recovered his senses.
I Can looks to land a left hand but Wolfcock moved out of range nicely.
Fritz Wolfcock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
I Can's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wolfcock connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! I Can scrambles back to his feet.
I Can throws a right hand that Wolfcock ducks under and follows up with a left that Wolfcock also avoids with ease.

I Can throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wolfcock sees it coming and avoids it easily.
I Can looks to land a left hand but Wolfcock moved out of range nicely.
Wolfcock lands a body shot.
I Can is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Wolfcock gets caught napping as I Can dives in and scores a takedown. Wolfcock manages to retain guard.
I Can sitting in guard here, content to control.
Wolfcock keeping moving, preventing I Can from controlling successfully.
I Can wants to pass the guard but Wolfcock is keeping the position.
I Can might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

I Can trying to control the position from guard on top but Wolfcock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I Can stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wolfcock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
I Can is working hard here to advance position.

Wolfcock has I Can pulled in close to control his posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
I Can throws a hook to the side of Wolfcock's head but Wolfcock sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A little jabbing left from Wolfcock on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
I Can throws out a loose jab but Wolfcock uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wolfcock stuffs the takedown attempt from I Can. I Can gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Because I Can will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



I Can gets a double leg takedown into Wolfcock's guard.
Wolfcock is pulling down on I Can's head. It's preventing any offense from I Can, at least for the moment.
Wolfcock keeping moving, preventing I Can from controlling successfully.
I Can forces his way into half guard.
I Can wants to free his trapped foot but Wolfcock is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I Can seems to be looking for submissions.

I Can is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wolfcock doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time I Can.

Wolfcock is positioning himself well to prevent I Can advancing to mount.

I Can is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wolfcock has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wolfcock is doing well to control the position and prevent I Can from advancing to side control.
I Can has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

I Can is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

I Can is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wolfcock is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I Can is keen to just control but Wolfcock is a slippery customer.

I Can seems to be looking for submissions.
Wolfcock manages to get to full guard.

I Can has gone for a leg lock! Wolfcock slips out almost immediately though and dives into I Can's guard.

Wolfcock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

I Can looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wolfcock has picked I Can up and slammed him! I Can can't keep hold of the triangle and Wolfcock manages to pass to side control!
I Can is trying to escape the position but Wolfcock is controlling the position.
I Can tries to buck Wolfcock off but Wolfcock is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
I Can is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wolfcock's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Wolfcock feints and then cracks I Can's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow I Can down.
Because I Can is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
I Can shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wolfcock pinned against the cage. Wolfcock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
I Can throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
I Can looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wolfcock is fending him off so far but I Can persists. Nope, Wolfcock circles away and we're back to standing.

I Can is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wolfcock's half guard.

I Can is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wolfcock is just riding it out for now. I Can eventually gives up the hold.

Wolfcock gets full guard.
Wolfcock pulls I Can in close to his closed guard and prevents I Can from doing any damage or advancing position.
I Can advances position into side control!
Wolfcock is looking to reverse the position.
I Can wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wolfcock keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

I Can tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no I Can has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

I Can goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wolfcock has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for I Can but great work by Wolfcock.
I Can is looking to regain half guard here but Wolfcock keeps moving and retains side control.
I Can can't do much from the bottom here.
Wolfcock in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Wolfcock's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

I Can struggling a bit here.

Wolfcock is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down I Can's shoulder. That is not cool.

I Can is looking for a sweep.
I Can is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wolfcock off and has taken his back!
Because I Can overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wolfcock is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

I Can tightening his grip on Wolfcock, looking for the choke.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

I Can is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Wolfcock knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Wolfcock for a finish.
Because I Can is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
Because I Can showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for I Can, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
