Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between January Kwiecinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanishk Soni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). January Kwiecinski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, January Kwiecinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 42 - 2, fighting out of New York, Tanishk Soni! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soni moves into the clinch. Kwiecinski keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Soni's efforts to push away. Soni wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kwiecinski has him pressed against the cage. Soni pulls Kwiecinski into guard.
Kwiecinski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kwiecinski wants to pass the guard but Soni is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kwiecinski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwiecinski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kwiecinski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nice uppercut lands for Kwiecinski. That snapped Soni's head back.
Kwiecinski closes the distance and clinches. Kwiecinski throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sonis head.
It looks like Tanishk Soni has been cut. Kwiecinski lands a nice elbow. Soni takes an elbow to the temple. A knee to the head by Kwiecinski.
That has opened up Tanishk Soni's cut even more. Kwiecinski with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Soni is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Kwiecinski landing knees to the head.
Soni changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kwiecinski fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kwiecinski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Soni. Kwiecinski clinches up with Soni and pushes him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwiecinski avoids the elbow strike from Soni, against the cage.
Soni pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kwiecinski lands with a cross. Soni looks to land a body kick but Kwiecinski moved away. Kwiecinski is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Soni. Kwiecinski closes the distance and pushes Soni back into the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kwiecinski. Soni tries to circle away but Kwiecinski has him pinned against the cage. Kwiecinski can't find room to land a body shot as Soni controls the action.
Soni is looking to break free of the clinch but Kwiecinski has double underhooks. Soni doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Kwiecinski using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Soni has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Soni throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kwiecinski blocks it with crossed arms. Kwiecinski misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kwiecinski scores with a shot to the side of Soni's head. Kwiecinski lands with a left to the head.
The cut above Tanishk Soni's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Kwiecinski unloads a knee to the mid-section. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Soni is trying to push Kwiecinski away but Kwiecinski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A short uppercut from Kwiecinski. Kwiecinski landing knees to the head.
Soni wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kwiecinski has him pressed against the cage. Soni wants a takedown.
Kwiecinski scores with a shot to the side of Soni's head. Kwiecinski tries to land a knee to the head but Soni blocks with his arms.
Soni escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Soni has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kwiecinski pushes Soni back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Kwiecinski misses with a knee to the head. Kwiecinski lands with a right to the head. Kwiecinski looking to throw knees to the head but Soni is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
January Kwiecinski dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tanishk Soni's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Soni misses with a kick to the body.
Kwiecinski connects with a looping right hand.
Kwiecinski catches Soni with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kwiecinski forces Soni back against the cage and clinches. Kwiecinski working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Tanishk Soni's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Kwiecinski throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Kwiecinski crunches a lovely knee into Soni's ribcage. Soni being controlled against the cage. Soni wants the takedown. Kwiecinski is fighting it off but Soni persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kwiecinski's guard against the cage. Kwiecinski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Soni can do to turn this around? Kwiecinski is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soni preventing the sweep. Kwiecinski pulls Soni in close to his closed guard and prevents Soni from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kwiecinski wants to hit a switch here but Soni passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kwiecinski there! Kwiecinski wants to control but Soni is having none of it. Kwiecinski is desperately trying to improve his position but Soni has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwiecinski wants to control but Soni is having none of it. Kwiecinski is squirming around, avoiding Soni's attempts to control the action. Kwiecinski swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Soni prevents Kwiecinski from getting the reversal. Kwiecinski tries to hold on but Soni pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Soni fails to move to back control. Soni controlling his opponent. Kwiecinski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kwiecinski tries to hold on but Soni postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tanishk Soni will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Tanishk Soni's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Soni staying out of range there. Nice cross by Kwiecinski. Soni moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Soni uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kwiecinski.
Kwiecinski has closed the distance and engaged Soni in a clinch.

and Soni counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kwiecinski is looking to slow Soni down with leg kicks. Soni ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kwiecinski moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwiecinski blocks a jab. Kwiecinski lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kwiecinski drops Soni with a beautiful combination! Soni stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kwiecinski is looking for the KO!
Soni is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tanishk Soni's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
