Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bagel Iel!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage lands with a cross.
Cage throws a head kick that Iel semi-blocks.
Iel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Iel digs a right hand underneath Cage's ribcage. Cage let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Cage is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Iel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Iel breaks the clinch.
Bagel Iel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cage will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Iel takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cage takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Iel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A left lands for Iel.
It looks like Johnny Cage has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Iel avoids the body shot from Cage.
Cage is looking to slow Iel down with leg kicks.
Iel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cage's hands.
Iel lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Iel connects with the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cage walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cage is rocked!
Iel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cage.
Cage lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Cage looks to land a left hand but Iel moved out of range nicely.
Cage walks into a stiff left hand from Iel.
Oh Cage is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Iel avoids the body shot from Cage.
Cage jabs Iel to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Cage seems to have got his legs back now.
Cage looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Iel moves into the clinch.
Iel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cage misses with a wild combination.
Iel connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Cage covering up! Iel comes in with a big uppercut and Cage goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bagel Iel!
