Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquin Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galvao comes into the arena with Kodaline - All I Want blaring out of the sound system. Joaquin Sosa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Galvao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joaquin Sosa! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galvao bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Galvao content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Galvao looks up at the clock and then as Sosa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Galvao smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Sosa prevents Galvao from moving into mount. Galvao wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sosa, who protects the arm well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Galvao working the ground and pound but Sosa is defending the strikes. Galvao content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Galvao has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Galvao connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sosa some visible discomfort.
Sloppy strikes there by Galvao. Sosa gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Galvao is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sosa is forced to tap! Great finish!
