Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Borris Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Linwood Purcell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Linwood Purcell!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Truck misses with a hook.
Purcell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Truck defends it nicely.
Purcell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Truck looks to land a combination but Purcell avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Truck moves into the clinch.
Purcell breaks from the clinch.
Truck throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Purcell is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Truck throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Truck gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Purcell decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Truck, up you get!
Truck forces Purcell back against the cage and clinches.
Purcell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Purcell has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Truck after a bit of a struggle.
Truck changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Purcell fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Purcell can't find room to land a body shot as Truck controls the action.

Borris Truck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Linwood Purcell.

Truck tries to throw a body punch but Purcell avoids it by throwing Truck back against the cage.

Purcell gets caught napping as Truck dives in and scores a takedown. Purcell manages to retain guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Purcell looking for a triangle here. Truck is fighting it but it looks tight! Purcell pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Truck is tapping out - this one is all over!
