Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Corbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Dovik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William Corbin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, William Corbin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyle Dovik! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dovik ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Corbin moves away. Dovik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Corbin manages to avoid it. Dovik fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dovik fails with an attempt to clinch.
Corbin is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Dovik. Dovik tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Corbin was well out of range. Poor timing from Dovik. Corbin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dovik as he jumps to the side. Dovik now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Corbin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Dovik gets tackled into the cage by Corbin. Corbin maintains the clinch. Dovik gets through Corbin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Corbin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dovik misses with a hook from the clinch. Dovik throws a punch but it's blocked by Corbin. Corbin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Corbin takes a shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dovik misses with a short punch on the inside. A left hand lands to the body for Dovik.
Corbin just leaning against Dovik, taking a breather. Dovik lands a hook to the side of the head. Corbin prevents a body shot from Dovik. Dovik misses with a short punch on the inside. Dovik tries a body shot but Corbin blocks it.

Dovik swings wildly with an uppercut but Corbin uses good head movement to avoid it. Dovik lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Corbin backwards. Corbin is looking to take this one to the mat. Corbin pulls guard effortlessly. Dovik trying to control the position from guard on top but Corbin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corbin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Corbin tries to get out of the position. Corbin has Dovik pulled in close to control his posture. Corbin continues to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dovik moves in looking to clinch but Corbin pushes him off. Dovik misses with a wild body shot. Dovik throws a hook to the side of Corbin's head but Corbin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Dovik throws a big shot that misses. Dovik scores with a shot to the body.
Corbin tries to close the distance and clinch but Dovik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Corbin darts in and clinches Dovik up against the cage. Corbin looking to slow down the pace here. Dovik misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dovik misses with a hook from the clinch. Corbin blocks a body shot from Dovik. Dovik misses with a hook from the clinch. Dovik stops a takedown attempt from Corbin.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Corbin. That's going to take a lot out of him. A shot in the inside from Dovik. Dovik lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Corbin has hold of one of Dovik's legs. Dovik is fighting the takedown attempt but Corbin gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Corbin working some strikes from top position. Corbin with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dovik working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Corbin. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Corbin's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Corbin cracks Dovik with a solid left hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dovik has momentary wrist control but Corbin slips an elbow through the middle. Corbin won't allow Dovik to sweep him here. Corbin is stalling in the full guard. Corbin passes into half guard. Dovik tries to get to full guard but Corbin has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Dovik dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Corbin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Corbin. Dovik throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Dovik. Corbin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kyle Dovik seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Corbin jumps guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Corbin is on top in guard.
Corbin is in close to Dovik's body, working some short punches and elbows. Corbin landing some decent shots from guard. Dovik trying to control the position.
Dovik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corbin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corbin lands a couple of digs. Corbin distracts Dovik with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dovik trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Corbin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Corbin advances position into side control! Corbin cracks Dovik with a big elbow. Corbin working the head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dovik is trying to escape the position but Corbin is controlling the position. Dovik tries to escape but Corbin is in control. Dovik is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Corbin in side control lands a decent elbow. Dovik taking a bit of punishment here - Corbin scoring with strikes. Corbin lands a nice forearm strike. Corbin takes a little break here. Dovik wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Corbin is looking to take a break and control but Dovik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dovik takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dovik takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Dovik is rocked! Corbin in side control lands a decent elbow. Dovik is still in real trouble! Can Corbin finish him? Corbin lands a few punches from side control. Corbin turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
