Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Flynn Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, George Stobbart!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stobbart fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Williams leaves Stobbart with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Williams was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We've been told by Williams's head coaches at English Top Team - THE Hybrid Gym (11 ELITE ) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Stobbart drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Williams controls Stobbart momentarily but Stobbart frees himself.
Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Williams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stobbart is looking to work some ground and pound but Williams has wrist control.

Stobbart trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Williams looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
My spies in FIERCE inform me that Stobbart has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Stobbart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Williams works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stobbart throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Williams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stobbart trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Stobbart fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Williams avoids it really well and circles away.
Flynn Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Stobbart.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stobbart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stobbart gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Williams was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Williams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stobbart to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stobbart trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Stobbart throws a big elbow that misses.
Williams can't keep his opponent in guard - Stobbart advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Williams is defending against the submission attempts here by Stobbart.
Stobbart throwing shots but Williams is blocking nicely.
Stobbart has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stobbart sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Williams defending well though.
Stobbart is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Williams!
Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stobbart on the ground.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Williams is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position.
Stobbart misses with a head shot.

Stobbart working for a submission but Williams is keeping him at bay.

Stobbart looking to finish with strikes here!

Stobbart has hold of Williams's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Williams manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Poor strikes thrown by Stobbart there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Stobbart is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Stobbart extends the arm and Williams is forced to tap!

During a confident post fight interview, George Stobbart thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
