Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Nakamura!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hadeo Ichisun!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura throws a hook to the side of Ichisun's head but Ichisun sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ichisun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nakamura missing with a left hand there. Ichisun was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ichisun defending well as Nakamura loads up on a big left hand.
Ryo Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ichisun feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Nakamura wants to stand up but Ichisun is controlling him.

Ichisun changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nakamura tries to avoid it but Ichisun manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nakamura to the ground. Nakamura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nakamura is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ichisun.

Ichisun fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nakamura sprawls well initially but Ichisun persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryo Nakamura will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ichisun shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nakamura but Nakamura pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nakamura looks to land a combination but Ichisun avoids it well.

Ichisun shoots in looking for a takedown. Nakamura tries to sprawl out of it but Ichisun keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nakamura manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ichisun looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nakamura lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nakamura tests Ichisun's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Hadeo Ichisun has been cut.
Nakamura lands with a right and another and another! Ichisun is in big trouble! Nakamura lands again and this time it's lights out for Ichisun! A quality knockout there for Nakamura.
