The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pieru closes the distance and clinches.
Pieru can't get the takedown.
Giunta gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pieru.

Pieru changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Giunta fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Giunta lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Pieru sprawling to the canvas. Giunta follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Pieru hang on?

It looks like Yrjo Pieru has been cut.

Pieru is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Giunta scores with a couple of nice shots.
Pieru is still in real trouble! Can Giunta finish him?
Giunta wants to control but Pieru is keeping him busy.
Pieru seems to have recovered his senses.
Giunta frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
