Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ernie Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee Mann has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ernie Wilkins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ernie Wilkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dee Mann!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkins moves out of range as Mann throws a body kick.
Mann doesn't manage to clinch there - Wilkins circles away.

Mann feints and as Wilkins raises his hands in defense, Mann changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wilkins pushes Mann off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Mann looks winded!
Mann is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wilkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mann avoids it really well and circles away.
Wilkins dives in for a single leg takedown but Mann sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mann tries to clinch there but Wilkins circles away.
Mann throws a lazy head kick
and Wilkins counters with a series of strikes. Mann will be more careful next time no doubt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mann keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mann changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wilkins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wilkins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mann doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mann manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mann fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wilkins to the ground. Mann is now in Wilkins's guard.

Wilkins wants to sweep here but Mann controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilkins is looking to stand up but Mann isn't so interested in that idea.

Wilkins kicks Mann off and gets to his feet.

Wilkins gets caught napping as Mann dives in and scores a takedown. Wilkins manages to retain guard.

Wilkins has his feet on Mann's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wilkins shoots for a double leg takedown but Mann sprawls well. He's pushed Wilkins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wilkins takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Mann is trying to trip Wilkins. He has hold of a leg but Wilkins is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mann persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Wilkins pulls Mann in close to prevent any damage.

Mann tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilkins is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A punch lands to the side of Wilkins 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Las Vegas inform us that Mann has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Ernie Wilkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wilkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mann pinned against the cage. Mann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mann closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wilkins to the mat! Wilkins manages to get full guard.

Wilkins has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Mann is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mann wants to control but Wilkins is keeping him busy.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Wilkins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mann, pushing him back against the cage.

Mann has clasped his hands together around Wilkins's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Wilkins sneaks out the side door and pushes Mann away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Wilkins dives in and grabs Mann's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mann pushes down on Wilkins's head and hops out.

Wilkins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mann paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mann throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wilkins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mann is in Wilkins's guard.

Wilkins pushes Mann off and scrambles back to his feet.

Wilkins moves into range and clinches up with Mann.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ernie Wilkins showed his dominance in that final round.
