Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Wu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Doe! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Doe defends it nicely. Doe lands a front kick. Wu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Doe defends well and Wu ends up having to push Doe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wu closes the distance and clinches up with Doe, looking for a takedown. Wu pushes Doe against the cage but Doe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Doe replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Wu blocks it well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Wu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wu goes for a double leg but Doe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Doe continues to drive forward. Doe lands with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wu. The fighters circle momentarily. Doe darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Doe throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Wu counters with a one-two to the body. Wu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Doe but Doe pushes him off and we're back to square one. Doe throws a body shot but no joy. Wu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Doe only half commits to the counter leg kick. Wu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wu misses with a takedown attempt - Doe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Wu fails with the takedown. Doe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wu sees it coming and avoids it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wu. Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wu scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe is working to avoid the ground and pound but Wu connects with a decent elbow. Doe manages to get back to half guard. Doe regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wu stands up and waves to Doe to follow him. Wu looks for a takedown but Doe sprawls well. Doe follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Wu tries for a takedown but Doe circles away easily and Doe counters with a nice body shot. Wu misses with a takedown attempt - Doe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Doe raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wu fails with a takedown attempt. Doe steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Doe tries a head kick but it misses.
Wu checks the leg kick nicely there.
Wu drives through with a takedown into guard. Wu trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Doe dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Doe looks to land a right hand but Wu moved out of range. Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wu tries for a takedown but Doe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Wu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Doe defends well and Wu ends up having to push Doe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nice sprawl there from Doe as Wu shoots in. Doe throws a leg kick but Wu checks it. Wu is looking to counter punch. Wu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Doe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wu is rocked! Doe connects with a leg kick. Wu looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Wu moves out of range as Doe throws a body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wu shoots in and drives through. Doe sprawls well. Doe stuffs the takedown attempt from Wu. Wu gets slowly back to his feet. Wu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doe circles away. John Doe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Doe lands a jab. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wu is defended easily by Doe. James Wu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Doe is looking to land body kicks. Doe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe throws a nice outside leg kick. Doe pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Wu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Doe avoids it really well and circles away. Doe attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Doe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wu's hands. Doe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A quick step to the side and Wu tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Doe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Oh Wu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Wu seems to have got his legs back now. Wu defending well as Doe loads up on a big left hand. Doe throws the kick towards the body but Wu avoids it. A solid leg kick lands there for Doe.
Wu fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Doe now looks to counter with a shot at the body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Doe drops Wu with a beautiful combination! Wu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Doe is looking for the KO! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Doe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Wu fails to land the takedown. Doe lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Doe throws a body shot but no joy. As Doe tries to get set, Wu tries to push him back and clinch up but Doe manages to avoid the attempt. Wu shoots in looking for a takedown but Doe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wu blocks the body kick.
Doe swings for the body but Wu moves out of range.
Doe attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Wu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. James Wu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doe lands with a right hand. Wu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Doe counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe connects with a solid leg kick. Doe throws a body shot but no joy. Doe has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Wu fails with a takedown attempt. Doe lands a big head kick that sends Wu tumbling to the mat! Doe takes a step backwards and waves Wu back to his feet - he wants the finish!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wu fails with the takedown. Doe throws a head kick that misses. Wu has his takedown stuffed and Doe counters with a nice body kick.
Wu darts in looking for a takedown but Doe gets double underhooks and turns Wu into the cage. Wu checks a leg kick. James Wu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! No luck for Wu with that takedown attempt. John Doe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A kick lands to the mid section there for Doe. Wu shoots and misses and Doe counters with an outside leg kick.
Doe lands a jab. Wu takes a shot right to the bread basket. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wu doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Doe counter with a right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! John Doe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Doe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
