Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Komatsu Akiaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Kawasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akiaki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter the Dragon. Komatsu Akiaki has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiaki is looking to clinch.

and Akiaki counters with a left and a right that stings Kawasaki.

and Akiaki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kawasaki looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Akiaki stands and steps away. Kawasaki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kawasaki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Kawasaki goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Akiaki turns into him and now he's in Kawasaki's guard.
Akiaki has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kawasaki is proving hard to escape from.

Akiaki drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kawasaki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Akiaki has Kawasaki in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akiaki is looking for a triangle but Kawasaki pushes his legs off easily.
Akiaki is breathing heavily.

Kawasaki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Akiaki looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kawasaki stands and throws Akiaki's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kawasaki tries to move into full mount but can't pass Akiaki's legs.
Kawasaki just content to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kawasaki wants to control from the top but Akiaki keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kawasaki tries for a takedown but Akiaki circles away easily
and Akiaki counters by clinching up.
Akiaki looking to stall.
Akiaki unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kawasaki lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kawasaki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Akiaki walks away with a smile on his face. Kawasaki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Komatsu Akiaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinya Kawasaki.
Akiaki gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kawasaki regains guard.
Akiaki tries to free his leg and advance position but Kawasaki is retaining full guard.
Akiaki tries to stand but Kawasaki is controlling from the bottom.
Kawasaki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Akiaki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Akiaki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Akiaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kawasaki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Akiaki stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Akiaki clinches with his opponent.
Kawasaki turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kawasaki manages to end up in side control.
Akiaki sneaks back into half guard.
Kawasaki is looking to pass to full mount but he's left his head exposed in the process. Akiaki has locked up a guillotine and regained full guard. He's really cranking on it - this could be the end! Is it? Is it? No... YES! YES! He's tapped! I didn't think he was going to get it there for a minute but he did! Well done Akiaki! He waited for his chance and took it!
