Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Durgin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durgin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Halloween. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Belfort! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Durgin! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belfort feints and as Durgin raises his hands in defense, Belfort changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Durgin looking to control.
Belfort scoring with some ground and pound. Belfort wants to pass the guard but Durgin is keeping the position. Durgin has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Touch Of Death Combat Academy. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Durgin wants to sweep but no luck. Durgin has momentary wrist control but Belfort slips an elbow through the middle. Belfort is in close to Durgin's body, working some short punches and elbows. Belfort wants to control from the top but Durgin keeps moving. Belfort scoring with punches to the head and body. Belfort pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Durgin is keeping the position for now. Belfort stands and throws Durgin's legs to the side, diving into side control. Belfort working the body and head with strikes. Belfort goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Durgin rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Belfort's guard! Nice work there by Durgin! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Belfort has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Durgin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Belfort.
That's one minute gone in the round. An elbow from Durgin crashes against the mat.
Belfort is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Midnight MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Belfort is looking to regain half guard here but Durgin keeps moving and retains side control. Durgin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Belfort knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Durgin is looking to take a break and control but Belfort is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Durgin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Belfort is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Durgin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Belfort prevents Durgin from moving into mount. Durgin avoids the strikes from the bottom by Belfort. Belfort on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belfort is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Durgin wants to control but Belfort is keeping him busy. Belfort manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Durgin is trying to work for a kimura but Belfort is defending well.
Belfort moves into full guard.
Belfort is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Durgin defends well. Durgin preventing the sweep. Durgin trying to control but Belfort is working from the bottom. Durgin pushing down on Belfort's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belfort actively working from the bottom here. Belfort regains full guard. Nicely done. Belfort looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Durgin with a flurry of punches that miss. Belfort tries to land a sweep but no joy. Belfort is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Durgin defends well. Durgin advances position into side control! Belfort is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Durgin off and has taken his back! Belfort has managed to slip his arm under Durgin's chin. This could be all over... yep, Durgin is tapping out! Submission win for Belfort.
