Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dantes DeKorveia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dantes DeKorveia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel Stephens!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeKorveia misses with a few strikes there.
Stephens shoots in looking for a takedown. DeKorveia tries to sprawl out of it but Stephens keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. DeKorveia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
DeKorveia tries to bum rush Stephens with a series of wild strikes but Stephens uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And Stephens tries to counter it with a takedown but DeKorveia pushes his down on his head and steps out.
DeKorveia throws a series of punches but Stephens avoids them all with ease.
DeKorveia thuds his right hand into Stephens's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
DeKorveia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stephens manages to avoid it.
DeKorveia throws a hook but Stephens avoids it easily.
DeKorveia lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by DeKorveia.

DeKorveia lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Dantes DeKorveia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

DeKorveia wanted to stand there but Stephens had control of the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
DeKorveia wants to get up but he can't break Stephens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Stephens is trying to control the position but DeKorveia postures up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
DeKorveia would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Stephens stands and throws DeKorveia's legs to the side, diving into side control.
DeKorveia is trying to buck Stephens off.
Stephens wants to lay and pray for a moment but DeKorveia keeps working.

Stephens has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

DeKorveia throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

DeKorveia throws a right and a left that Stephens avoids nicely.
DeKorveia swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stephens counters with a body kick that stops DeKorveia in his tracks momentarily.

Stephens is pressed up against the cage. DeKorveia has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stephens down to the mat. Stephens avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

DeKorveia tries to stand but Stephens is controlling from the bottom.

Stephens lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

DeKorveia wants to get back to his feet but Stephens is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

DeKorveia shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stephens eats them both and turns towards DeKorveia to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Stephens misses with a few strikes there.
DeKorveia circles away from the clinch attempt.
DeKorveia throws a series of punches but Stephens moves out of range.
And Stephens tries to counter it with a takedown but DeKorveia pushes his down on his head and steps out.

A quick step to the side and DeKorveia tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stephens takes a shot to the body in his stride.
DeKorveia feints a jab promting Stephens to slip. DeKorveia then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Stephens slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
DeKorveia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Stephens takes the fight into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Stephens shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with DeKorveia but DeKorveia pushes him off and we're back to square one.

DeKorveia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stephens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stephens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeKorveia's waist but DeKorveia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stephens off to one side.

As Stephens looks to move away, DeKorveia throws a big counter combo but Stephens just gets out of the way.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

DeKorveia lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stephens circles away quickly and effectively.
DeKorveia pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Stephens back to the cage. DeKorveia follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

DeKorveia throws a series of punches but Stephens moves out of range.
DeKorveia thuds his right hand into Stephens's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Stephens misses with a takedown attempt - DeKorveia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dantes DeKorveia showed his dominance in that final round.
