Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takahashi Yosho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Swarovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takahashi Yosho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Swarovski!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swarovski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yosho as he avoids it easily.

Yosho shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yosho showed some decent athleticism there.
Swarovski wants to get back to full guard.
Swarovski is trying to maintain the position but Yosho is very close to passing his half guard.
Swarovski is trying is best to control the position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Swarovski is desperately trying to improve his position but Yosho has a good base and remains in mount.

Yosho swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Swarovski is now in Yosho's guard. A big mistake from Yosho there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yosho is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Swarovski is in close to Yosho's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Swarovski is looking to pass into half guard but Yosho pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Yosho is in guard.


Yosho gets to his feet - Swarovski follows without any prompting.
Yosho is looking to clinch but Swarovski is avoiding it.
Swarovski follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Swarovski has a takedown stuffed.
Yosho fails in his attempt to clinch.

Yosho throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Swarovski dives in and grabs Yosho's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yosho pushes down on Swarovski's head and hops out.
Takahashi Yosho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Swarovski.
Yosho tries to clinch but Swarovski moves away
and Swarovski counters with a nice uppercut.
Swarovski goes for a double leg but Yosho avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yosho continues to drive forward.
Swarovski tries for a takedown but Yosho sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Swarovski shoots in looking for a takedown. Yosho tries to sprawl out of it but Swarovski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yosho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Yosho attempts a counter takedown but Swarovski avoids it well and moves away.
Swarovski looks winded!

Swarovski clinches with his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yosho goes for a takedown attempt but Swarovski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takahashi Yosho dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Swarovski forces Yosho back against the cage and clinches.
Yosho tries to pull guard but Swarovski forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Yosho is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Swarovski pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Swarovski drags the fight down to the ground.
Yosho trying to control but Swarovski is working from the bottom.
Yosho is stalling in the full guard.

Swarovski is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Yosho dives into side control.
Swarovski is not content to let Yosho control the position.
You can see the frustration on Swarovski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Yosho creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Swarovski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Yosho looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Swarovski tries to buck Yosho off but Yosho is having none of it.
Swarovski trying to remain calm as Yosho controls from the top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Yosho closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Swarovski did well to prevent Yosho getting side control.

Swarovski tries to get to full guard but Yosho has control of the leg.

Swarovski kicks Yosho off and gets back to his feet.
Yosho on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Takahashi Yosho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Yosho changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Swarovski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Swarovski tries to buck Yosho off but Yosho is having none of it.
Takahashi Yosho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Swarovski can't do much from the bottom here.

Swarovski is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Yosho's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swarovski is looking to improve his position.
Yosho thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Swarovski's head.
Yosho is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Swarovski is refusing to be controlled, as Yosho sits in half guard.

A close second round but Paul Swarovski will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Yosho takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Swarovski scores with a hook to the body. Yosho takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Yosho throws a right and a left that Swarovski avoids nicely.
Yosho misses with a low kick.
Swarovski shoots in and drives through. Yosho sprawls well.
Yosho half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Yosho sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Yosho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Swarovski.
Yosho could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Swarovski shoots for a takedown but Yosho saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Takahashi Yosho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Swarovski.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Swarovski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yosho tries to avoid it but Swarovski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yosho to the ground. Yosho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee calls for Swarovski to work.
Swarovski tries to pull guard but Yosho won't allow it.
Swarovski drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Yosho is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Swarovski is defending well.

Swarovski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Yosho fails with a takedown attempt.
Swarovski throws a head kick that Yosho semi-blocks.

Yosho gets to his feet - Swarovski follows without any prompting.
Swarovski doesn't manage to clinch there - Yosho circles away.
Swarovski shoots in and drives through. Yosho sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Swarovski is defended easily by Yosho.

Swarovski keeps the fight on the outside.
Yosho misses with a leg kick
and Swarovski counters with a two punch combo.

Yosho shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Swarovski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Yosho advances to full mount.
Yosho sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Swarovski is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Poor strikes thrown by Yosho there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Yosho trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yosho throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Swarovski because Yosho loaded up on that one.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Paul Swarovski.
I think Swarovski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
