The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcclintock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mcclintock shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mcclintock showed some decent athleticism there.
Mcclintock misses with a head shot. Alves uses the momentum to regain guard.
Mcclintock with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Mcclintock wants to get up but he can't break Alves's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mcclintock stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Alves has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Mcclintock manages to get his head free but now Alves has transitioned to an armbar! Mcclintock grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Alves! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
