Slade fails to land with a series of punches.

Slade's coach down at Abobomination Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Slade's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Slade lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Vincenzo Vitalli has been cut.
Vitalli takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Vitalli slips a jab and a cross from Slade.

Slade avoids a punch combination nicely.

Vitalli scores with a nice head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice uppercut there from Slade.
Slade takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That has opened up Tyrone Slade's cut even more.
Slade connects with the punch.
Slade throws a combination that misses
and Vitalli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vitalli misses with a jab to the body
and Slade counters with a stiff right hand.
Vitalli lands a nice shot that snaps Slade's head back.
Slade misses with a few strikes there.
Slade throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Vitalli's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Slade dives in looking to finish as Vitalli flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Slade's strikes! Slade is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Vitalli's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Vitalli was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyrone Slade!
