The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po is looking to clinch but Kermode is avoiding it.
Kermode swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Po tries to clinch up but Kermode circles away and keeps his distance.
Kermode tries a head kick but it misses.

and Po counters with a nice leg kick.
Kermode fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Po looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kermode uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Po has time to react.
It looks like Tong Po has been cut.
Kermode fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Po has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mayo Kermode seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Po moves into the clinch.
Kermode gets through Po 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kermode told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Po tries to work over Kermode's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

A relieved looking Tong Po thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
