Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Risemonger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramon Decker!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Decker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Decker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Risemonger bucks up and tries to throw Decker off but instead Decker has got his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Risemonger is trying to stand back up.
Risemonger trying to control the hands but Decker breaks the grip.
Risemonger is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Decker working for a choke but Risemonger is defending well.

Decker is persistently looking for the submission but Risemonger is defending it well.

Risemonger defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Decker's arms.

Risemonger drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Decker dives on top into guard.

Risemonger controls Decker momentarily but Decker frees himself.

Risemonger wants to stand and escape but Decker is having none of it.
Risemonger is trying to keep Decker in close.
Decker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Decker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Risemonger shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Decker napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Risemonger is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Decker has escaped the position, nice work there.
Decker looking for a sweep but Risemonger has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Decker is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ramon Decker will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Risemonger darts in and clinches Decker up against the cage.
Decker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Decker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Risemonger gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Decker fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Decker is working for takedown but Risemonger is calmly controlling the position for now.

Risemonger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Decker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Risemonger smiles and moves away.

Risemonger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Decker sprawls well initially but Risemonger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Decker is breathing heavily.
Decker works his way to full guard. Good work.
Risemonger trying to control but Decker is working from the bottom.

Decker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Risemonger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jon Risemonger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Risemonger wants to stand but Decker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Risemonger is fighting to break Decker's control of his arms but Decker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Decker gets a double leg takedown into Risemonger's guard.
Decker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Risemonger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Risemonger wants to get back to his feet but Decker is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Decker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Decker is looking to take a break and control but Risemonger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Ramon Decker.
I think Decker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
