Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Tumenov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Quinn! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tumenov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Quinn throws a big elbow that misses. Quinn trying to control but Tumenov is working from the bottom. Tumenov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Quinn lands a couple of decent looking shots. Quinn is looking to pass into half guard but Tumenov pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Tumenov is in guard.
Quinn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tumenov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tumenov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tumenov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Quinn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tumenov has managed to get both his arms back between Quinn's legs - danger averted. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Quinn looking for a guillotine here but Tumenov defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quinn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Quinn is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tumenov rolls with it to try and escape but Quinn cranks on the arm and Tumenov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
