Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tolo Seia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seia has chosen Limp Bizkit - Thieves as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 35 - 4, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 22 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tolo Seia!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macintosh has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Seia finds it's way round the side to connect with Macintosh's head.
Macintosh shoots in for a takedown but Seia shows good takedown defense.
Macintosh walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nice defenses there by Macintosh.
Seia looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Seia, right into the meat.
Seia buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Seia there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seia with a hook.
Seia scores with a kick to the body.
Macintosh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Seia sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Seia with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A looping hook to the body misses from Seia. Macintosh does a little dance to reset his feet.
Seia throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Macintosh on the side of the head.
Seia misses with an uppercut. Macintosh saw that one coming.
Macintosh appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
A low kick from Seia misses

and Macintosh counters with a single leg into guard. Seia didn't expect that.
Seia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macintosh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Macintosh stands and throws Seia's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Macintosh content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Seia prevents Macintosh from improving position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Seia is not content to let Macintosh control the position.
Macintosh working away.
Macintosh wants to control but Seia is keeping him busy.
Macintosh remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Seia can do anything to dispel that myth.

Seia is trying to control Macintosh's posture but Macintosh avoids it.
Macintosh prevents Seia from escaping the position.
Macintosh wants to control but Seia is keeping him busy.
Seia stops Macintosh from passing to mount.
Macintosh is working hard here to advance position.

Macintosh has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Seia is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Macintosh yanks on the arm and Seia is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Macintosh.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bud Macintosh!
