Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Cantu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Jordan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ahmed Cantu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacob Jordan! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jordan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cantu counters with a one-two to the body. Cantu throws a head kick that misses. Jordan throws a series of punches but Cantu moves out of range. Cantu throws a sloppy head kick and Jordan moves out of range easily. Jordan misses with a right hand and Cantu counters with a two punch combo. Jordan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cantu went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Jordan moves into the clinch. Cantu is looking for a takedown. Jordan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cantu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jordan to the mat. Jordan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cantu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jordan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cantu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cantu stands up over Jordan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jordan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cantu passes into side control.
Jordan trying his best to control but Cantu has mounted him. Cantu wants to control the pace but Jordan is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan wants to hold on but Cantu pushes him away. Cantu unloading with bombs! Jordan is working to get back to half guard.
Cantu working Jordan over with strikes here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jordan can do anything to dispel that myth. Cantu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jordan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jordan is trying to escape the mount.
Cantu working away from the top, dropping strikes. Cantu lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jordan hang on? Cantu landing strikes from the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jordan tries to lock up and control but Cantu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Cantu could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Cantu working Jordan over with strikes here. Cantu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cantu sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cantu is in the full mount, landing strikes. Cantu controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cantu goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jordan turns into him and now he's in Cantu's guard.
Jordan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cantu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jordan manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cantu wants to stand but Jordan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Jordan looking for subs off his back but Cantu has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cantu blocks the strikes from Jordan.
Cantu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jordan sees it coming and defends easily. Jordan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jordan is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Cantu has latched onto it... Big trouble! Cantu pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Jordan is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Cantu!
