Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Cake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Lawler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Cake!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cake tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lawler keeps the fight on the outside.

Lawler gets a double leg takedown into Cake's guard.
Cake throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Lawler trying to control but Cake is working from the bottom.
Lawler controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Cake keeping full guard, as Lawler tries to pass.
Lawler wants to control from the top but Cake keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lawler controls the pace.
Lawler pushes down on Cake's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Cake trying to hold on to Lawler's head to control him but Lawler postures up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Lawler goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Cake is on top in guard.
Lawler wants to stand and escape but Cake is having none of it.

Cake has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lawler is on him like a limpet, forcing Cake back against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lawler wants to free his trapped foot but Cake is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Lawler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cake does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lawler uses his free foot to push down on Cake's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cake.

Lawler jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cake manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Lawler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cake can do to turn this around?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cake can't keep his opponent in guard - Lawler advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Lawler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cake doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lawler.
Cake is looking to improve his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lawler has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jerry Lawler will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Cake looks to land a combination but Lawler avoids it well.
Cake throws a low kick but Lawler moves out of range easily.
Cake thows a left - swing and a miss!

Lawler shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cake manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Cake throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lawler tries to counter with a takedown but Cake is quick to defend against it.

Lawler looking to take Cake's back but Cake rolls and after a scramble, Cake ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Cake to escape a tricky position.

Lawler manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lawler is defended easily by Cake.

Cake lands a nice looking kick to the body. Lawler takes a step back to recover.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Cake closes the distance and pushes Lawler back into the cage.

Jake Cake has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lawler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
