Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ewan Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards shoots in for a takedown but Chavez shows good takedown defense.
Chavez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chavez misses with a looping left.
Edwards closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Chavez is trying to get back to his feet.
Edwards wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chavez, who protects the arm well.

Edwards is stalling here. Chavez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Edwards seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Chavez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Chavez stands up and beckons Edwards to his feet.
Edwards will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Edwards walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Chavez thuds his right hand into Edwards's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Edwards shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chavez but Chavez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Edwards controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Chavez wants to stand and escape but Edwards is having none of it.
Chavez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Edwards off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Chavez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ewan Edwards will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chavez drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Edwards's head, knocking him out cold! Chavez is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
