Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bas Schippers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Heir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heir comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DMX - X Gon' Give It To Ya kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sean Heir has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bas Schippers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Heir! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schippers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Heir. Heir tries to clinch up but Schippers circles away and keeps his distance. Schippers feinted with a counter takedown. Schippers slaps away a takedown attempt from Heir, before circling back to the center of the mat. Heir misses with a takedown attempt - Schippers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bas Schippers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Heir. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heir shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Schippers manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Heir trying to control the position from guard on top but Schippers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heir is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Schippers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Schippers lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Heir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schippers is one step ahead there. Schippers with a nice head shot there. Schippers with a nice head shot there. Schippers with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Heir is rocked! Schippers postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Heir covers up, he's hurt! Schippers keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Schippers and the ref steps in to end the fight! Schippers can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bas Schippers!
