The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurmagomedov chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nurmagomedov feints and then cracks Blanchard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blanchard down.
Nurmagomedov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Blanchard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nurmagomedov counters with a low kick, right behind Blanchard 's knee.
Khabib Nurmagomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurmagomedov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Blanchard takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Bert Blanchard has been cut.

Blanchard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nurmagomedov can pounce on him.

Blanchard is breathing heavily.
Nurmagomedov ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Blanchard's jaw. Blanchard's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Nurmagomedov does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Khabib Nurmagomedov!
