Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucien Daniels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marat Kolosov! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kolosov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kolosov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kolosov is controlling Daniels's posture. The fighters are working up against the cage. Kolosov manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Kolosov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kolosov wants to break free but Daniels has control.

Kolosov jumps guard and drags Daniels to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Daniels controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Daniels could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolosov controlling Daniels's posture. Kolosov has a closed guard, preventing Daniels from standing up. Daniels is stalling in the full guard. Kolosov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Daniels has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Daniels trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kolosov's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Daniels throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Daniels tries to keep at a distance but Kolosov has taken the fight into the clinch. Daniels jumps guard but Kolosov stands there with Daniels around his waist. Daniels gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kolosov is trying to push Daniels away but Daniels has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Kolosov decides to pull guard. Kolosov has his feet on Daniels's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels gets caught flat footed, as Kolosov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Daniels manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Daniels is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kolosov to keep the fight standing. Kolosov is trying to force a seperation but Daniels has the dominant position. Kolosov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kolosov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Daniels wants to control from the top but Kolosov keeps moving. Daniels wants to stand but Kolosov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolosov wants to stand and escape but Daniels is having none of it. Kolosov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Daniels is aware though and is defending well. Kolosov has control of Daniels's left arm, preventing Daniels from doing any damage. Daniels wants to stand but Kolosov has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kolosov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Daniels manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kolosov won't allow Daniels to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marat Kolosov dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kolosov looking to score a takedown here. Daniels is defending well but Kolosov drives through and ends up in Daniels's guard. Daniels uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kolosov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daniels to the mat! Daniels manages to get full guard. Kolosov stands up from Daniels's guard - Kolosov perhaps looking for a knockout. Kolosov misses with a low kick. Kolosov has closed the distance and engaged Daniels in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Daniels is trying to break free. Kolosov pulls guard. Kolosov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Daniels gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kolosov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kolosov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kolosov trying to control the position here. Daniels throws a big right hand that misses. Daniels stopping the sweep attempt from Kolosov. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daniels trying to control but Kolosov is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kolosov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Daniels doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Daniels manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kolosov dives in and scores a takedown into Daniels's guard. Daniels is wriggling around but Kolosov manages to pass to half guard.
Daniels is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kolosov is pressing down on Daniels's thigh, looking to free his foot. Daniels is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolosov sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kolosov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Daniels is looking to improve his position.
Kolosov is taking a breather. Daniels says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kolosov works his way into full mount! Kolosov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kolosov throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Daniels really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Daniels is working hard here to advance position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marat Kolosov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Kolosov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Daniels quickly recovers to half guard. Kolosov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kolosov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kolosov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kolosov pulls Daniels into guard.
Kolosov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Daniels manages to get himself to full guard.
Kolosov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kolosov prevents Daniels from getting back to his feet. Daniels tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels is looking to stand up but Kolosov isn't so interested in that idea. Kolosov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kolosov throwing strikes from guard but Daniels blocks nicely. Kolosov stands up and waves to Daniels to follow him. Kolosov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Lucien Daniels has been cut. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kolosov lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Daniels falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
