Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Segey Taranin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Rackham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Rackham has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Segey Taranin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Rackham! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rackham misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Taranin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rackham sprawls and moves away. Rackham misses with an uppercut. A big right from Rackham misses. Taranin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rackham throws a right hand that misses
and Taranin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Taranin. Taranin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Taranin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rackham is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taranin trying to control but Rackham is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taranin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rackham is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rackham looking to hit a scissor sweep but Taranin is one step ahead there. Taranin controls from within his opponent's guard. Taranin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Taranin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Taranin postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A jab from Rackham misses. Rackham dodges the punch combination from Taranin.
Taranin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rackham.
Taranin changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Rackham misses with a straight left. Taranin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Rackham displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Taranin throws out the jab. Rackham avoids the body shot from Taranin.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rackham misses with a left hand and Taranin counters with a takedown into side control. Taranin is looking to take a break and control but Rackham is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A lull in the action here. Taranin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Taranin scores with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taranin swings around for an armbar but Rackham sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Taranin's guard. Taranin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Taranin being controlled here, momentarily. Rackham wants to stand but Taranin is controlling his posture from full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Taranin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rackham passes into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Segey Taranin will probably get the nod. That's time! Taranin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Taranin staying out of range there. Taranin looks to land a left hand but Rackham moved out of range nicely. Rackham swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Taranin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Taranin lands a nice shot that snaps Rackham's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Taranin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rackham looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rackham looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rackham! Rackham working away. Rackham trying to control the action but Taranin is working from the bottom. Taranin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rackham can do to turn this around? Rackham working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Rackham politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rackham prefers to stall for the moment though. Taranin is looking for a sweep. We've been informed that Rackham has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Rackham working away. Taranin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Segey Taranin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Taranin looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Taranin looking for a kimura from the bottom but Rackham passes into side control! Taranin struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taranin is looking for a sweep. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Taranin is working hard here to advance position.

Taranin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rackham manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Taranin has Rackham in his guard. Taranin is trying to control the position but Rackham postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rackham wants to control from the top but Taranin keeps moving. Taranin working a defensive guard here.
Rackham is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Taranin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rackham is looking to defend but Taranin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rackham! Taranin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rackham taps out and this one is all over!
