Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vassago Ballardo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballardo plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Ballardo lands with a straight right. Kong didn't see that one coming.
Ballardo throws a head kick that misses

and Kong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ballardo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ballardo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ballardo pulls Kong in close to prevent any damage.
Kong tries to free his leg and advance position but Ballardo is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kong is looking to stand up but Ballardo isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ballardo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ballardo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kong wants to get back to his feet but Ballardo passes into half guard.
Ballardo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ballardo misses with a series of wild punches.

Oooooh!!! Ballardo has knocked Kong down with a huge combo! Ballardo steps away and waves a wobbly Kong back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Oh Kong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kong is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ballardo throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Kong crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

After winning the bout, Vassago Ballardo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
