Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kairo Schmeldty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kairo Schmeldty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mac Power!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Schmeldty misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Power.
Schmeldty misses with a body punch
and Power counters with a one-two to the body.
Schmeldty misses with a jab, cross combination.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Power! But no joy.
Schmeldty swings away with a body shot that misses
and Power counters with a two punch combo.
Schmeldty swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Power makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jab by Schmeldty.
Schmeldty throws a lazy uppercut
and Power counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Power keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Power tests Schmeldty's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A left and a right from Power both land. Nice combination.
Schmeldty misses with the combination.
Schmeldty misses the body punch
and Schmeldty takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Schmeldty throws a sloppy body shot
and Power counters with a series of strikes. Schmeldty will be more careful next time no doubt.
Power throws a series of punches but Schmeldty moves out of range.
Schmeldty throws a big counter combination but Power scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Schmeldty misses with a shot to the body
and Schmeldty takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kairo Schmeldty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schmeldty looks to land a left hand but Power moved out of range nicely.
Power tries to bum rush Schmeldty with a series of wild strikes but Schmeldty uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Schmeldty pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Schmeldty throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Power.
Power is looking for the big counter here.
Schmeldty lands a left and a right that send Power crashing to the mat, dazed. Schmeldty thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Power is rocked!
It looks like Mac Power has been cut.
Schmeldty measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Power! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Kairo Schmeldty!
