Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dijoban Totohami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki comes into the arena with wadiako blaring out of the sound system. Naya Shinoki has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Naya Shinoki ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dijoban Totohami! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Totohami throws a leg kick that is checked and Shinoki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Shinoki wants to work for an arm triangle but Totohami is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shinoki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Shinoki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Totohami defends it well. Totohami is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Totohami pushes Shinoki off looking to stand but Shinoki dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shinoki seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Totohami is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Totohami flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shinoki controlling the action here. Shinoki is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Totohami has managed to free his arm - good work. Shinoki missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Shinoki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Totohami wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Shinoki seems content to control. Totohami is trying to maintain the position but Shinoki is very close to passing his half guard. Shinoki landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Shinoki . Totohami taking some punishment here, with Shinoki in his half guard. Totohami is defending against the submission attempts here by Shinoki .
Well, if Shinoki is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Totohami is looking to get back to is feet but Shinoki passes into side control.
Shinoki cracks Totohami with a big elbow. Totohami wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Shinoki moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Shinoki connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Totohami some visible discomfort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A lull in the action here as Shinoki stalls from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Naya Shinoki dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Totohami fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shinoki avoids it really well and circles away. Dijoban Totohami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shinoki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Totohami shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shinoki as he jumps to the side. Totohami throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Shinoki decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Totohami's guard. Shinoki is standing up over Totohami. Totohami looks to escape but Shinoki dives into side control.
Shinoki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Totohami can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shinoki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shinoki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Shinoki thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Totohami is working to avoid the ground and pound but Shinoki connects with a decent elbow. Shinoki working the ground and pound. Shinoki tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Totohami's face as Shinoki controls the position.

Shinoki cracks Totohami with a big elbow. Shinoki slows the pace down. Shinoki cracks Totohami with a big right hand but Totohami just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Totohami seems a little lost for a moment, as Shinoki dominates the positioning. Shinoki is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Totohami has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinoki advances nicely into full mount. Shinoki wants to finish this one by submission but Totohami is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shinoki . Shinoki unloading with bombs! Shinoki fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Shinoki landing strikes from the mount and Totohami is in trouble! Shinoki controlling from the full mount. Shinoki has isolated one of Totohami's arms. Totohami looking to fight him off but Shinoki twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Naya Shinoki ! An out of breath and clearly excited Naya Shinoki thanked Sun-Tzu for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
