Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Donnell Hyde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rashid Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hyde tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Magomedov counter with a right hand.
It looks like Donnell Hyde has been cut.
Hyde shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Magomedov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Magomedov wants to get back to his feet but Hyde passes into half guard.
Magomedov pushes Hyde off and gets back to his feet.
Hyde throws a body kick that misses
and Magomedov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hyde throws out a leg kick but Magomedov moves out of range and Hyde only half commits.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hyde has taken the fight to the clinch.
Magomedov breaks the clinch.
Hyde closes the distance and clinches.
Magomedov avoiding damage as Hyde throws knees to the body.
Magomedov breaks the clinch.
Hyde clinches with his opponent.
Magomedov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Magomedov circles away from the clinch attempt
and Magomedov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hyde throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hyde shoots in looking for a takedown but Magomedov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hyde's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hyde shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Magomedov sprawls well. Magomedov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hyde gets slowly back to his feet.

Magomedov blocks a head kick by Hyde.
Hyde keeps Magomedov at a distance using the push kick.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hyde with a poor takedown
and Magomedov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnell Hyde. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hyde darts in trying to clinch
and Hyde takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Magomedov counters with a left to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Donnell Hyde's cut.

Hyde throws a right and a left that both miss.
Magomedov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hyde throws a series of punches but Magomedov moves out of range.

Oh Hyde is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rashid Magomedov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hyde throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Hyde seems to have got his legs back now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hyde closes the distance but Magomedov moves to the side
and Magomedov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've been informed that Magomedov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Magomedov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hyde closes the distance looking to clinch
and Magomedov scores with a counter punch that sends Hyde to the canvas! Magomedov smells blood - he's punishing Hyde with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Hyde has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rashid Magomedov!
Rashid Magomedov was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
