Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chester Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reece Mclaren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chester Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reece Mclaren!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones darts in looking for a takedown but Mclaren gets double underhooks and turns Jones into the cage.
Mclaren connects with a jab.
Mclaren avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mclaren swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jones throws a lazy uppercut
and Mclaren counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mclaren.
Mclaren appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones.
Jones throws a poor cross that misses
and Mclaren counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Mclaren to acknowledge the strikes.
Mclaren connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jones momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mclaren misses with the combination.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mclaren throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones tries to counter by clinching up but Mclaren breaks away and moves out of range.
Mclaren throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mclaren misses with a wild body shot.
Jones dodges the punch combination from Mclaren.
Some wild striking there from Mclaren.
Nice jab there from Jones.

Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jones bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mclaren's head.
Mclaren throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mclaren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jones lands a jab.
Mclaren's coach down at The Shit House-(12 coaches, all double elites) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mclaren's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones digs a good body shot into Mclaren's ribs.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mclaren manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mclaren throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Jones attempts a counter takedown but Mclaren avoids it well and moves away.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Mclaren sprawls well.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Jones clinches up against the cage.

Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mclaren defends well.
Mclaren must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jones is trying to control the position but Mclaren postures up.

Mclaren trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard.

Mclaren is sitting in close to Jones's body. Jones has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mclaren is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mclaren is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jones.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Chester Jones!
