Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Novak Strasur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Tuup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Tuup! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuup forces Strasur back against the cage and clinches. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Strasur is defending well against a takedown attempt. A nice right hand lands inside from Strasur. We've been hearing reports that Strasur has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Strasur has had enough of the clinch but Tuup keeps him there for the moment. Tuup connects with a nasty looking knee right to Strasur's face.

Tuup's coach down at Kung Fu Fighting Club ($250 entry fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tuup's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Strasur swings away with an uppercut that misses.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tuup manages to end up in side control. Strasur tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Strasur is trying to get back to his feet but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Novak Strasur has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
