Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aemon Oezid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sexton Hardcastle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardcastle has chosen How I Could Just Kill a Man- Rage Against the Machine as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Oezid is predictable there
and Hardcastle counters with a single leg into guard. Oezid didn't expect that.
Oezid wants to stand but Hardcastle is controlling the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Oezid's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Hardcastle content to stall in guard here.
Oezid wants to get back to his feet but Hardcastle passes into half guard.
Oezid scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hardcastle manages to mount him!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You get the feeling that Oezid really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hardcastle is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Oezid can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Hardcastle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sexton Hardcastle really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Voodoo Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
