Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jurgen Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Whittaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jurgen Nielsen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Whittaker! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whittaker throws a push kick but Nielsen slaps the foot to one side. Whittaker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nielsen as he avoids it easily. Whittaker fails with the takedown. Nielsen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nielsen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Whittaker counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Whittaker sitting and controlling from the half guard. Whittaker prevents Nielsen from standing back up.
Whittaker performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Nielsen tries to kick Whittaker off but Whittaker keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Whittaker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nielsen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Whittaker is keen to just control but Nielsen is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Whittaker takes the fight into the clinch. Nielsen wants to break free but Whittaker has control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whittaker pulls guard successfully.
Whittaker is pulling down on Nielsen's head to control his posture. Nielsen wants to stand but Whittaker has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Whittaker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nielsen is looking to stand up but Whittaker won't let him. Nielsen is breathing heavily. Nielsen gets to his feet - Whittaker follows without any prompting. Whittaker clinches up against the cage. Nielsen wants to break free but Whittaker has control.
Whittaker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Whittaker has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Nielsen. Nielsen is looking to score with low kicks. Whittaker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Nielsen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nielsen throws a chopping leg kick but Whittaker manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whittaker darts in and clinches Nielsen up against the cage. Whittaker turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Whittaker manages to end up in side control. Whittaker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nielsen's legs. Nielsen wants to get back to his feet. Whittaker takes a little break here. Nielsen wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Nielsen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Nielsen trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whittaker is looking to take a break and control but Nielsen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nielsen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nielsen seems to be stalking Whittaker here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Whittaker drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jurgen Nielsen!
