Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Philo Beddoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beddoe comes to the cage accompanied by Stranglehold/ Ted Nugent. Walker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Another One Bites the Dust kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! John Walker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Philo Beddoe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Walker! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Walker, right into the meat.
Beddoe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Beddoe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Walker doesn't seem bothered though. Beddoe moves in looking to clinch but Walker pushes him off. Walker only half commits to the counter leg kick. Walker changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Walker throws a right hand that Beddoe ducks under and follows up with a left that Beddoe also avoids with ease. Walker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Beddoe checks a leg kick. Walker walks into a stiff left hand from Beddoe. Beddoe rushes Walker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Walker lands with a short shot to the head. Beddoe misses with a hook from the clinch. Walker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Beddoe swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beddoe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Beddoe misses with an uppercut. Walker saw that one coming. Beddoe throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beddoe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walker. Walker throws a push kick but Beddoe slaps the foot to one side. Walker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beddoe.
Walker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Walker looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A jab from Beddoe misses. Beddoe misses with a looping left. Beddoe cracks Walker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Walker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Walker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Walker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Beddoe sees it coming and avoids it easily. Beddoe scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Beddoe jabs Walker right on the nose. Walker blinks but takes it well. Walker throws a predictable looking body shot
and Beddoe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Walker with a body punch. A glancing blow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Beddoe slips under a jab. Beddoe is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beddoe tries to move into range but Walker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Walker tries a head kick but it misses.
Beddoe is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Horrible takedown attempt by Beddoe or perhaps it was just good defense by Walker, which made it look bad. Beddoe missing with a left hand there. Walker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Beddoe misses with a leg kick and Beddoe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Good leg kick by Walker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Walker throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Beddoe's head. A big left from Walker misses. Walker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Beddoe. Walker defending well as Beddoe loads up on a big left hand. Walker lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Beddoe throws a right hand that Walker ducks under and follows up with a left that Walker also avoids with ease. Beddoe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Philo Beddoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker lands the left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beddoe fails with the takedown. It seemed like Walker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Beddoe lands a slapping body shot.
Walker scores with a head kick. Beddoe tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Walker walks into a stiff left hand from Beddoe. Beddoe throws a right hand that misses
letting Walker counter with a right hand. Walker throws a lazy head kick and Beddoe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Beddoe tries to free his leg and advance position but Walker is retaining full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth. Beddoe stands and throws Walker's legs to the side, diving into side control. Walker is not content to let Beddoe control the position. Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beddoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This has been an exciting period of action! Beddoe is trying to get an arm triangle but Walker is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beddoe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Walker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Walker tries to bench press Beddoe off him but Beddoe keeps the position. Walker parries the strikes from Beddoe easily there. Beddoe is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Walker to escape.
Beddoe tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Philo Beddoe will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Beddoe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Beddoe moves out of range of the body kick from Walker.
The fighters circling - Beddoe throws out the jab but it was never going to land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beddoe misses with a few strikes there.

John Walker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Walker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Beddoe walks into a stiff left hand from Walker. Walker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Beddoe. John Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Walker throws a nice inside leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Walker. No joy for Beddoe on that attempt. Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beddoe. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philo Beddoe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beddoe tries to clinch but Walker moves away and Walker counters with a body kick that stops Beddoe in his tracks momentarily. Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beddoe moves away. Walker cracks a nice hook into Beddoe's ribs. Beddoe misses with an uppercut. Walker has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beddoe looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well. Walker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beddoe moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Beddoe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Beddoe closes the distance and clinches up with Walker, looking for a takedown. Beddoe pushes Walker against the cage but Walker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Walker swings for the body but Beddoe moves out of range.
Beddoe feinted with a counter takedown. Beddoe looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walker lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Walker throws a sloppy head kick and Beddoe moves out of range easily. Beddoe checks a leg kick. Beddoe misses with a takedown attempt - Walker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Walker wants to slow Beddoe down by chopping away at his legs. Beddoe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Beddoe lands a nice looking body shot.
Beddoe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Walker swivels and escapes. Walker flicks out a counter leg kick but Beddoe steps away. Walker scores with a one two! Beddoe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Beddoe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beddoe somewhat. A countering left hand to the body from Walker misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beddoe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Walker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Walker lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walker looks to land a combination but Beddoe avoids it well. Walker scores with a nice body kick.
Walker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Beddoe doesn't succeed with the takedown and Walker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

John Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Beddoe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Walker defending well as Beddoe loads up on a big left hand. Walker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Beddoe. Good leg kick by Walker there. Walker throws a leg kick that is checked and Beddoe counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Walker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Beddoe. This has been an exciting period of action! Beddoe is pressing down on Walker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walker is holding on for now. Beddoe missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Beddoe throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Walker to regain full guard. Beddoe throws a big elbow that misses. Walker keeping full guard, as Beddoe tries to pass. Beddoe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Beddoe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Beddoe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Beddoe postures up in Walker's guard and throws a big left but Walker blocks it. Philo Beddoe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Beddoe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Beddoe, into his guard. Beddoe striking from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beddoe controls Walker momentarily but Walker frees himself. Walker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Walker wants to pass the guard but Beddoe is keeping the position. Walker trying to control but Beddoe is working from the bottom. Beddoe has a closed guard, preventing Walker from standing up. Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Walker slips a straight right by Beddoe. Walker lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Beddoe has Walker up against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Walker misses with a body punch.
Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Beddoe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Walker to the mat! Walker manages to get full guard. Walker keeping moving, preventing Beddoe from controlling successfully. Beddoe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Beddoe, into his guard.
Beddoe is looking for a triangle but Walker pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beddoe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Beddoe's legs - danger averted. Walker is sitting in close to Beddoe's body. Beddoe has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Walker is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Walker is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Beddoe.
