Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franky Yip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bone has chosen You'll Never Walk Alone as his entrance music. Joe Bone is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Franky Yip!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bone!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone throws a head kick but Yip moves out of range.
Bone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yip was well out of range. Poor timing from Bone.
Yip looks to land a left hand but Bone moved out of range nicely.

Yip swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've been informed that Bone has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bone paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bone lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Yip swings for the body but Bone moves out of range.
Yip throws a right hand that Bone ducks under and follows up with a left that Bone also avoids with ease.
We've been told by Yip's head coaches at LOD London Top Tier that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Bone throws a leg kick which misses Yip's front leg but catches the back leg as Yip tries to avoid it.
Yip throws a hook to the side of Bone's head but Bone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bone. Yip does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yip takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bone feints and then cracks Yip's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Yip down.

Yip takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Yip dives in and grabs Bone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bone pushes down on Yip's head and hops out.

and Yip makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Yip scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Bone works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Yip steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bone. That one must have hurt.
Yip lands with a good body shot.
Yip waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bone.

Bone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yip throws the left hand but Bone avoids the punch easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bone enables Yip to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bone has his foot on Yip's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yip works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Franky Yip will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Franky Yip.
I think Yip has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
