Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Smasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Afghan Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Smasher is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Smasher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Afghan Alves!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smasher throws a looping overhand right but Alves ducks down to avoid it.
Alves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Alves swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Alves looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Alves closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Smasher missing with knees to the body.
Smasher lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Alves wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Smasher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alves has taken the fight to the clinch.
Alves is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Alves tries to close the distance and clinch but Smasher swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Alves has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smasher is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smasher circles away quickly and effectively.

The fight stays on the outside here - Smasher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Alves has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Afghan Alves seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Alves dives in and grabs Smasher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smasher pushes down on Alves's head and hops out.

Alves goes for a double leg but Smasher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smasher continues to drive forward.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ben Smasher will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Smasher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Smasher can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alves controls the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Afghan Alves comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Alves has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
