Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kanishka Lijikiszcz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendrix has chosen Rage Against the Machine - Renegades of Funk as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kanishka Lijikiszcz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Hendrix! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix fails with the takedown enabling Lijikiszcz to counter with a crisp jab. Hendrix shoots in and drives through. Lijikiszcz sprawls well. Hendrix tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lijikiszcz defends well and Hendrix ends up having to push Lijikiszcz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kanishka Lijikiszcz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Hendrix. Hendrix shoots in but Lijikiszcz avoids the takedown attempt easily. A quick step to the side and Lijikiszcz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Hendrix shoots for a double leg takedown but Lijikiszcz sprawls well. He's pushed Hendrix's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hendrix shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lijikiszcz defends it nicely. Lijikiszcz misses with a wild body shot. Hendrix takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lijikiszcz misses with an uppercut. Hendrix saw that one coming. We've been told by Lijikiszcz's head coaches at Wreckshop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Lijikiszcz lands a jab to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hendrix shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lijikiszcz pinned against the cage. Lijikiszcz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A quick step to the side and Lijikiszcz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Hendrix is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lijikiszcz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lijikiszcz wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendrix looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lijikiszcz is fending him off so far but Hendrix persists. Nope, Lijikiszcz circles away and we're back to standing. Lijikiszcz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hendrix. Nice takedown defense from Lijikiszcz. No joy for Hendrix on that attempt. Lijikiszcz stuffs the takedown. Hendrix looks winded! Lijikiszcz jabbing away but nothing is landing. A chopping leg kick lands by Lijikiszcz. Lijikiszcz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hendrix fails with the takedown and Hendrix takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hendrix on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Hendrix takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Hendrix misses with a takedown attempt and Lijikiszcz counters with a nice uppercut.
Hendrix is rocked! Lijikiszcz lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Hendrix falls backwards - clearly groggy! Lijikiszcz dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kanishka Lijikiszcz! Kanishka Lijikiszcz is the new bantamweight champion! Our winner, Kanishka Lijikiszcz, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. The defeated Andre Hendrix had this to say: 'Lucky punch... I'll be back!'.
