Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Bello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owens has chosen Thunderstruck by AC/DC as his entrance music. Joseph Owens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Greg Bello! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Owens! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice combination there by Bello.
Owens throws a right and a left that both miss. Bello will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Owens shoots in but no luck this time. Bello takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Bello feints a jab promting Owens to slip. Bello then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Owens slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Bello shoots in looking for a takedown. Owens tries to sprawl out of it but Bello keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Owens manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bello shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Owens sprawls well. Owens wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bello gets slowly back to his feet. Owens thinks about the counter body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Bello. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bello goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Owens tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bello defends well and Owens ends up having to push Bello into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Owens pushes Bello up against the cage in a clinch. Owens has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bello is trying to keep an underhook but Owens manages to get the takedown into half guard. Bello tries to kick Owens off in order to stand up. Owens Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Bello is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Owens asserts his dominance and retains side control. Owens remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bello dodges the ground and pound from Owens.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bello struggling a bit here. Bello is looking to get back to his feet here but Owens is keeping cool and he's managed to take Bello's back. Bello is breathing heavily. Owens is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Bello taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Owens.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joseph Owens! A pretty intense looking Joseph Owens took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
