Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caius Cosades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with Icky Thump blaring out of the sound system. Cosades has chosen Reign of the Septims as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Johnson checks a leg kick.
Cosades lands a nice shot to the body.
Cosades slips under a jab.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cosades.
Cosades takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Cosades throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Donk. Johnson catches Cosades right on the button with a cross.
Jab, jab by Johnson - just one landing.
Johnson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cosades can pounce on him.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cosades has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Johnson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cosades looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Johnson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cosades finds it's way round the side to connect with Johnson's head.

Cosades throws a shot from downtown. Johnson moves away and avoids it.
Johnson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Cosades throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.

Cosades is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Johnson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Johnson feints and then cracks Cosades's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cosades down.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson.
Johnson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cosades! But no joy.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Johnson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cosades - the referee stops the clock and Johnson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cosades. Johnson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Caius Cosades will probably get the nod.
That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The referee asks Johnson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Johnson prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cosades is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Johnson advances to full mount.
Johnson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Cosades is trying to escape the mount.
Johnson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Cosades is on top in guard.
Cosades stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cosades doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cosades manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cosades postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it.
Cosades with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Cosades advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Cosades is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Johnson is rocked!
Cosades lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Johnson quite badly. Johnson pulls Cosades in close trying to recover. Cosades postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Johnson on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Johnson doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Caius Cosades!
A very excited looking Caius Cosades made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
